Scholastic has acquired a license from Warner Bros. Consumer Products to produce a series of illustrated novels based on DC Comics’ superhero characters, written and illustrated by Batman: Li’l Gotham team Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs.

The first book in the three volume “DC Comics: Secret Hero Society” series: Study Hall of Justice will be published in February 2016.  The story is a twist on the junior detective genre, where middle school students Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent and Diana Prince team to form a detective squad. Their goal is to find out why the faculty appears to be encouraging (and rewarding) villainous behavior among the students at their prep school for gifted students.

The second book in the series is planned for Spring 2017, with the third will follow in Spring 2018.
