MTV has released the several promotional spots for its upcoming fantasy series The Shannara Chronicles, which is based on Terry Brooks’ novel series.

Del Rey released movie tie-in editions of The Elfstones of Shannara and The Wishsong of Shannara, on which the scripted series is based, on December 1.

The series premieres January 5 on MTV.
