No. 3 'Age of Ultron'
Geek films dominated the top 10 Most-Pirated Films of 2015, according to information provided by Excipio to Variety. Overall, piracy was also on a huge uptick, with last year's most pirated movies accounting for less downloads than the tenth most pirated film for 2015.

While last year was similarly dominated by geek films (see "Geek Films Over Half of Most Pirated"), comic book titles were less represented in 2015, with three Marvel films in the Top 10 for 2014 as compared to only one from Marvel Entertainment this year, Avengers: Age of Ultron; as well as the Marvel-comic based Kingsman: The Secret Service from 20th Century Fox.

While in the top 10, The Hobbit franchise continues its slide in the rankings among pirates: in 2013, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was #1 among pirates (see "'The Hobbit' Is Most Pirated") and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug fell to #5 in 2014. This year, The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies rang in at #8.

Here are the most pirated films of 2015, according to Excipio:

  1. Interstellar
  2. Furious 7
  3. Avengers: Age of Ultron
  4. Jurassic World
  5. Mad Max: Fury Road
  6. American Sniper
  7. Fifty Shades of Grey
  8. The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies
  9. Terminator: Genisys
  10. Kingsman: The Secret Service
