CoolMiniOrNot will release a stand-alone expansion for its cooperative deck-building card game XenoShyftXenoshyft: Dreadmire is scheduled to release in late 2016.

The Xenoshyft game challenges a group of players to work together, using deck-building style mechanics, to combat alien forces.  Dreadmire presents the players with a new environment to explore, in which they must not only combat the alien Brood but also contend with unpredictable weather.  New tech, designed to combat the weather effects, provides new strategic opportunities for the players.  The new set also features a revised mechanism for enemies to enter play, intended to make game play smoother and with less influence from luck.

Xenoshyft:  Dreadmire can be played as a stand-alone game, or it can be combined with the original Xenoshyft: Onslaught base game and its earlier expansions.  Dreadmire is designed for 1 to 4 players.  The set includes 471 new cards, 60 tokens, 4 NorTec board, 4 Dreadmire boards, 3 Dashboards, and game rules.

Dreadmire will be the first full-size stand-alone set for the game, following four smaller expansions released last year (see “Bolster Against Alien Incursion With ‘Xenoshyft’ Expansions”).

CMON is funding the game through a  Kickstarter campaign, which launched on January 12, reaching its $30,000 funding goal within a few hours.  Backer fulfillment is planned for December 2016, with trade release to follow. MSRP will be $60.00.
