The long-delayed The Munchkin Book from Steve Jackson Games is set to arrive in February.

Published by BenBella Books, the tome is a collection of essays about Steve Jackson's hit game Munchkin, edited by five-time Origins Award winner James Lowder (Knight of the Black Rose). Several luminaries of geek culture are involved, including famed designers Ed Greenwood and Steve Jackson, Steve Jackson Games' "Munchkin Czar" Andrew Hackard and CEO Phil Reed, and Munchkin / Dork Tower artist John Kovalic. The book is a 288-page 5-1/2" x 8-1/4" trade paperback, and includes game-legal rules in each essay.

Additional contributors include Bonnie Burton (Geek DIY), Dave Banks (Wired GeekDad), Jennifer Steen (Jennisodes), Liam McIntyre (Spartacus); comedian Joseph Scrimshaw; authors Andrew Zimmerman Jones, David M. Ewalt, Jaym Gates, and Christian Lindke; and game designers Randy Scheunemann, Matt Forbeck, and Colm Lundberg.

The long-delayed book was originally announced with a November 2013 publishing date by Smart Pop Books (see "'The Munchkin Book'"); the new printing is slated for a February 23 release. MSRP is $14.95.
