At Toy Fair in New York, Breaking Games announced its 2016 summer lineup of new games: King’s Abbey, 4 The Birds, Aura, and Keep Calm. It will also be distributing Boogie Dice (see “Self-Rolling Dice Now A Reality”).

King’s Abbey is a worker placement/resource management game designed by Randy Rathert. Set in the 11th Century, players take the role of abbot, leading an order of monk workers constructing a great abbey to defend against the dark outside world. As players improve their abbey, they gain prestige by training clergy, building towers and buildings, fighting off Vikings, and completing crusades. The player with the most prestige at the end of the game wins.

The game is for 1 – 5 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 90 - 180 minutes. MSRP is $60.00.

4 The Birds is an area control game designed by Steve Ewoldt. The game contains equal measures of strategy and luck as players compete to balance their own flock while blocking their opponents’ attempts to gather their birds together.

The game is for 2-6 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 20 - 30 minutes. MSRP is $40.00.

Aura, designed by Michael Orion, is a hand management game where players control their own five color deck and must balance between protecting that hand and diminishing their opponent’s. The game is simple to learn and serves as a gateway game to more advanced strategy card games.

The game is for 2 - 4 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in 20 -40 minutes. MSRP is $25.00.

Designed by Neil Hoffman and Ivan Turner, Keep Calm is a party game where players take turns deciding what the best response is to crazy situations.

The game is for 3 -10 players, ages 18 and up, and plays in 30 - 60 minutes. MSRP is $25.00.

Breaking Games will also be distributing Boogie Dice beginning in October. The self-rolling dice respond to hand claps, finger snaps, and banging on the table. The dice are packed with unique features and abilities, including sound detector, motion sensor, timer, and randomizer.

“Boogie Dice has already been getting a lot of attention from the gaming community and influencers,” said Boogie Dice creator, Nimrod Back in a statement.  “Together with Breaking Games, we'll be able to provide much better dice, but more importantly, we'll be able to release more Boogie Dice-based games and increase the value for each Boogie Dice player."

MSRP will be $45.00.
