Warner Bros. has ordered reshoots for this summer’s Suicide Squad, according to BirthMoviesDeath.
According to the website’s source “Every joke in the movie is in that trailer.” With audiences’ overwhelmingly positive response to the light-hearted preview, Warner Bros. requested reshoots to alter the mood to more accurately reflect viewer anticipation.
So multi-million dollar reshoots are happening now, to add more levity and brightness to the black comedy. Given the gravitas of Batman v. Superman, which didn’t sit well with many fans, it’s probably money well spent.
The movie opens in theaters August 5. The most recent (international) trailer can be seen here: 'Suicide Squad' International Trailer.
