Konami Digital Entertainment will release its second Legendary Decks boxed set for the long-running Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game on October 7.
The Legendary Decks II will feature a trio of 43-card pre-constructed decks. The first is based on the Yugi character and centers around “Exodia, the Forbidden One” and all three playable Egyptian God cards. The second deck is inspired by Kaiba and the “Blue-Eyes White Dragon”, with numerous spells and traps. The final deck is built around Joey’s “Red-Eyes B. Dragon” and cards that grow and develop during the game.
In addition to the three decks, each Legendary Decks II boxed set will include three new Secret Rare cards designed to enhance decks using the Dark Magician, and three Ultra Rare Token cards that depict the legendary Duelists of the original animated show.
Another of Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! expansions, Yugi’s Legendary Decks, has been nominated for a 2016 Origins Award by the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design (see “Origins Awards Nominees”). These awards will be presented at the game fair next week, on Saturday June 18. Konami also plans to host a YCS event at the show (see “YCS at Origins Brings Voice Talent”).
