Early next year, Evil Hat Productions will release two games that explore what happens after the giant monsters attack: the Kaiju Incorporated Card Game and Kaiju Incorporated: The Roleplaying Game.  Both games are expected to release in the first quarter of 2017.

Both games are set in a world where the giant monsters of Japanese Kaiju movie fame periodically lay waste to the world.  But after the creatures have moved on, it’s up to the players to rebuild - and, of course, make as much profit as possible.

The Kaiju Incorporated Card Game, created by Eric Vogel (Zeppelin Attack!, Cambria) casts players as company executives trying to profit from the reconstruction that follows a giant monster attack, while simultaneously preparing for the next inevitable rampage, and investing in Kaiju-related merchandise, such as Kaiju skin handbags.  The game is designed for 3 to 5 players, ages 13 and up, and plays in about an hour. MSRP is $20.00.

In Kaiju Incorporated: The Roleplaying Game, the players are the workers in the monster-ravaged city, trying to survive both the hazards left behind by the giant monsters and the treacherous world of corporate politics.  This 92-page full-color hardcover book was written by Rob Wieland (whose credits include materials for Fate Core, Star Wars (Saga), and 13th Age), and can be used with the Fate Core or Fate Accelerated roleplaying games.  MSRP is $20.00.

Evil Hat recently announced plans to release two other roleplaying games into the trade next year:  Blades in the Dark and Karthun:  Lands of Conflict (see “Evil Hat Brings Successful Kickstarter RPGs to Trade”).
