VIZ Media has announced new figure licenses for two of its most popular anime and manga properties:    One-Punch Man and Naruto Shippuden.  The pair were #1 (Naruto) and #4 (One-Punch Man) on our chart of the Top 10 Manga Franchises earlier this year (see “Top 10 Manga Franchises – Spring 2016”). Naruto remains a powerful property based on the amount of product available, while One-Punch Man has more heat but is newer.

Funko will produce a line of products based on One-Punch Man, including POP! Vinyl and Dorbz figures, Mystery Minis, and accessories.

And on the high end, Hong Kong figure company ThreeZero will also produce figures based on One-Punch Man, beginning with a 1/6 scale Saitama, followed by a Genos figure at the same scale.  The Saitama figure is being produced in two versions.  The Standard Edition (retail) features the lead character in his One-Punch Man costume, and includes alternate heads and other accessories.  The Special Edition (Exclusive) is an off-duty Saitama in his Oppai hoodie.

The main Naruto figure licensee will now be McFarlane Toys, which has revealed its first figure in the line.

And Zag Toys will produce Original Mini’s Domez 2.5” Collectible Figures based on Naruto.
