This new stand-alone version of Steve Jackson’s fifteen year old title was inspired by the writings of the world’s most famous playwright, packed with the pun-fueled humor that has always been the trademark of Munchkin, and illustrated by fan favorite John Kovalic.  The card art will be compatible with the base Munchkin game and expansions that share the same graphics.

{IMAGE_3}Steve Jackson is funding production of Munchkin Shakespeare through a Kickstarter campaign that achieved its funding goal in the first five hours.  The final component list for the game will be determined by the campaign’s stretch goals.  As of this writing, the boxed set will include 140 cards and a six-sided Munchkin die.  A 40-card expansion set is also on offer as a Kickstarter exclusive. 

The campaign does not include a retailer support package, but retailers that are part of Steve Jackson’s Store Finder will have an option to purchase the game and all add-ons after the campaign.
