Renegade Game Studios will release Sentient, a board game about programming and selling artificially intelligent robots, this summer.

The game is designed by J. Alex Kevern (World’s Fair 1893). Set in a world where building robots has become routine, but programming them has not, players take the role of start-up business owners speculating on making the next technological breakthrough in A. I.  and bringing it to market. Players procure valuable robots intended for work in information, the military, transportation, industry, and personal service, and plug them into their factory board. Each robot added will modify the board and attract attention from different investors for the company.

The box includes 60 cards, 20 dice, 16 agent pawns, 20 assistant pawns/cubes, 15 investor tokens, 9 player board sections, 8 start player tokens, 1 start player board, and VP tokens. The game is for 2 – 4 players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 45 – 60 minutes. MSRP is $55.00.
