USAopoly will release a licensed version of Clue based on the popular 1980s sitcom The Golden Girls in June.

The popular mystery game has been given a Golden Girls twist, where players attempt to find out who ate the last piece of cheesecake, where they did it, and with what iconic item from the program left at the scene of the crime. Was it Blanche in Rose’s bedroom, leaving behind Sophia’s Purse? Or maybe Miles on the lanai, leaving behind a can of whipped cream?

The suspects include the Golden Girls characters: Blanche, Rose, Dorothy, Sophia, Stan, and Miles; with “weapon” tokens including: Feathered Slipper, Rattan Chair, Bathrobe, Lipstick, Whipped Cream, Sophia’s Purse. The locations include the lanai, Dorothy’s bedroom, the garage, Rose’s bedroom and more. Each character has a special power, and distraction cards make the game more complicated.

The box contains: the game board (a custom illustrated map of Blanche’s house), 6 Suspect Movers, 6 Item “Weapon” Tokens, 6 Personality Cards, 21 Rumor Cards, 25 Distraction Cards, Custom Score Pad, Clue Envelope, Rule Book and 2 six-sided dice. The game is for 2 – 6 players, ages 8 and up. MSRP is $39.95.

USAopoly has already released a licensed Golden Girls puzzle this year, and plans a new version of Monopoly for later this summer.
