CBS has released the first trailer for its CBS All Access series Star Trek:  Discovery, which introduces the characters with some of their backstory, and shows a confrontation with the Klingons. 

The first season of the series has been extended from 13 to 15 episodes, and an after-show titled Talking Trek is planned, according to Variety. 

The debut of the show has been pushed back several times, and is now planned for Fall (see “’Star Trek:  Discovery’ Moved Back Again”).
