Red Raven is hunting for gold in Klondike Rush, which will release this fall.

Created by Ryan Laukat (Above and Below, Near and Far), Klondike Rush is a game about gold mining in the frozen mountains of the Klondike region.  Four companies set out to exploit a newly-discovered strike on Mount Titan.  The players invest in and guide the actions of the four different companies, hoping to reap the biggest profits.  Meanwhile, a hairy snow beast lurks among the mountaintops, threatening the mines.  The mining companies will pay a reward to whoever can hunt it down.

During the game, players bid for shares in the mining companies, some of which give them the right to build mines on the game board.  Each player may cash in their one “profit card” at any point during the game to receive dividends for their shares, and turn in “pelts” from the snow beast for extra cash.  Once all of the company shares have been bought, the player with the most cash wins.

Klondike Rush includes 1 game board, 139 cards, 36 tokens, 48 sculpted plastic mine pieces, and a plastic snow beast figurine.  The game is intended for 2 to 5 players, and takes about an hour to play.  MSRP is $40.00.

Red Raven will premier Klondike Rush at Gen Con.  Release into the trade will follow.

A new edition of Loukat’s Empires of the Void is also scheduled to release later this year (see “Red Raven Returns to ‘Void’”).
