Set in the fantasy adventure universe of Runebound (see “'Runebound' Returns With Re-Imagined Third Edition”), Legacy of Dragonholt introduces the new Oracle system, which allows players to build their own characters and embark on quests, all without a game master. Players select a race (human, orc, dwarf, elf, gnome, catfolk) and class (apothecary, bard, brawler, knight, sage, thief, wildlander). Players are presented with an epic mystery to solve, the death of the heir of Dragonholt. If he was killed, who did it and why? Over six cooperative narrative adventures, players make decisions that will lead them into dark caves and dangerous forests, and pit them against bandits and monsters.
