IDW Entertainment announced IDW Digital Studio, dedicated to creating and delivering on-demand genre content for various digital platforms.  The studio will draw from both IDW properties and new projects to produce video, animation, digital comics, mobile games, and more.

IDW Entertainment president David Ozer described the new initiative: "With IDW Digital Studios, we believe we can deliver an entertainment experience that speaks to today's sophisticated audiences, introducing truly fresh and creative concepts via the digital marketplace, including social media, mobile, gaming, channels and more."

IDW launched the entertainment division in 2013 (see "IDW Launches TV Development Division").  IDW Entertainment has so far focused on TV projects, such as Wynonna Earp and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency.  The division is currently working on a pilot for Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s Lock & Key for Hulu (see "'The Black Company,' 'Locke & Key,' 'Wheel of Time,' 'New Warriors,' 'Defenders'").
