Within the game world created around Guild Ball, politics have pushed the established “Major Guilds” to make alliances with smaller, less powerful “Minor Guilds.” In game play terms, these Minor Guilds will be tied to one of the Major Guilds that already exist, with a limited ability to share players between the two teams. Each Minor Guild will have two players who can play on a team from the associated Major Guild and vice versa.
The first of the new Minor Guilds will be the Ratcatcher’s Guild, which appears in this boxed set. The Ratcatcher’s Guild features a brand-new mechanic called Disease, which can infect a model and then slowly spread to every model in the game, slowly reducing their health points.
The Ratcatcher’s Guild is tied to the Mortician’s Guild. Two Ratcatchers, Skulk and Pelage, can be used on Mortician’s teams, and the Mortician players Bonesaw and Veteran Graves can join the Ratcatcher’s team, giving players of both teams new options for building their teams.
The Ratcatcher’s Guild: Paying the Piper includes a complete ready-to-play team with 1 captain, 1 mascot, 4 other players, and all the cards and accessories needed to field the team in the game. MSRP is $60.00.
Steamforged will support the release with the GB: Ratcatchers Launch Pack, available to retailers who want to host an event. The Pack comes with an event guide, 2 double-sided posters, sign-up sheets, 10 coach record sheets, 20 flyers, 20 invitation cards, 8 limited edition promo cards, 8 wheel-of-cheese balls, 16 sewer grate tokens, alternate sculpt versions of Veteran Graves and Bonesaw, and a thank you code for participants. MSRP for the Pack is $30.00.
