Lion Forge announced at ComicsPRO today that it will be publishing Gene Ha’s creator-owned series Mae.

Ha funded the original graphic novel on Kickstarter in 2015, raising more than $75,000 on a goal of $25,000. Dark Horse released a serialized version of Mae, and Lion Forge will release a new edition of the series on June 20. An all-new series will launch the same day.

In the story, Mae’s sister Abbie suddenly reappears after disappearing seven years earlier, and Mae is shocked to learn that Abbie has been living in a parallel world where she is the queen of a cat army and has battled an infinite variety of monsters. After their father is kidnapped, Mae joins Abbie on a rescue mission in the other realm.
