The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has welcomed 2000 AD publisher Rebellion as a corporate member.

Rebellion, whose imprints also include Abaddon Books, Solaris, and Ravenstone, is one of Europe’s leading independent game developers and comic book publishers. The company, which was founded in 1992, acquired 2000 AD in 2000, continuing the line’s decades long tradition of boundary-pushing publications.

CBLDF provides legal and educational resources to protect the First Amendment rights of the comics community, including creators, retailers, publishers, and readers. The organization provides legal aid, letters of support, programming, and much more in support of its mission.

Rebellion joins CBLDF's other corporate members: Abrams, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, BOOM! Studios, comiXology, Dark Horse Comics, DC Entertainment, DCBS, Diamond Comic Distributors, Fakku!, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Lion Forge, Oni Press, Neverwear, Penguin Random House, ReedPOP, Scholastic, SPX, TFAW.com, Valiant, Viz Media, and the Will and Ann Eisner Family Foundation.

In February, the organization announced the addition of IDW CEO Ted Adams to the board of directors (see “Ted Adams Joins CBLDF Board”).
