Grey Fox Games will release the Steampunk game of area control and development, City of Gears, in Q4.

Designed by Chris Leder (Roll for It!) and Daryl Andrews (Sagrada), the game sends players in to explore an abandoned clockwork metropolis. From their factories, the players must roll dice and move their automatons through the city to perform a variety of actions, obtaining and installing gears to reactivate areas of the city, activating steam powers, and sabotaging opponents. Each player develops their factory with special powers and attempt to gain prestige before opening day. The game is for 2 – 4 players, and plays in 45 – 60 minutes. Players use nine tiles from a set of 20 for each game, allowing for endless replayability. MSRP is $59.99.

The game was funded via a Kickstarter campaign, which raised $223,642 from 3,146 backers ($71.09/ backer average) in March. Backer fulfillment is scheduled for November, with trade release to follow.
