To mark 30 years of the iconic Mega Man franchise, Udon will be releasing two hardcover art books.
Mega Man: Official Complete Works encompasses all 10 games in the classic Mega Man series, spinoffs, remakes, re-releases, and crossovers. It gathers together classic game covers, character art, designs, concept art, tribute pieces, and more, all supported by creator commentary. The 296-page, 8.25 “ x 11.75” hardcover will be in stores in October for an MSRP of $39.99.
Mega Man X: Official Complete Works gives the same treatment to the futuristic successor of Mega Man, covering the eight core Mega Man X games and spinoffs. The 152-page, 8.25 “ x 11.75” hardcover is on sale in November. MSRP is $39.99.
Udon recently began releasing Mega Man Mastermix, a colored edition of Hitoshi Ariga’s 2010 manga (see “Kids Comics Roundup: It's Old But It's Good”). The anniversary of the Capcom game is also being marked by video game releases, including Mega Man X: Legacy Collection (available now) and Mega Man 11 (out in October), and a new animated series Mega Man: Fully Charged (out this month).
