VIZ Media is adding another Magic: The Gathering volume to its catalog. The publisher is partnering with Wizards the Coast to release The Art of Magic: The Gathering – Ravnica. The hardcover art book will be in stores in January 2019.
The volume is written by Magic: The Gathering senior game designer James Wyatt and takes readers through the guild-dominated metropolis of Ravnica with lavish plane-specific illustrations and information about the guilds’ deepest secrets and the plots within their ranks.
The Art of Magic: The Gathering – Ravnica will be available concurrently with the second of three upcoming Guild Kits for the world of Ravnica (see “New 'Magic' Sets Revisit Plane of Ravnica”). This fall, Dungeons & Dragons will officially meet Magic: The Gathering with the release of Magic: The Gathering. Guildmasters’ Guide to Ravnica on November 20 (see “'Dungeons & Dragons' Officially Meets 'Magic: The Gathering'”).
VIZ has released several volumes in the Art of Magic: The Gathering series. The sixth and most recent, The Art of Magic: The Gathering – Dominaria, was in stores in early July (see “New Products on the Way for 'Magic: The Gathering'”).
