The Marvel Gamerverse is coming to the Marvel Universe with a six-issue miniseries based on the hit Marvel’s Spider-Man video game.  Written by Dennis Hopeless and illustrated by Michele Bandini, the first issue of Marvel’s Spider-Man: City at War will be in stores in March.  Clayton Crain provides the main cover, with a Marvel Games variant by Tim Tsang, a Sinister Six variant by David Nakayama, and variant covers by Gerardo Sandoval and Adi Granov

City at War finds a seasoned Spidey dealing with the repercussions of putting Wilson Fisk behind bars, as a new crime lord called Mister Negative tries to fill the resulting power vacuum.  The miniseries is the first of a series of planned Marvel games tie-ins.

Insomniac Games and Sony released Marvel’s Spider-Man in early September to solid reviews and record-breaking sales.  Available exclusively on PS4, 3.3 million copies were sold in the first three days of release, potentially bringing in nearly $2 million and becoming the fastest-selling first-party video game release in Sony’s history (via USA Today).  Marvel also released comics sporting variant covers by artists on the game during September (see "Preview: 'Marvel's Spider-Man Video Game' Variant Covers").
