According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Sci Fi Channel has picked up the options on the cast members for Battlestar Galactica, and shooting is likely to start soon on a regular series which may start airing as soon as late this year.  The ratings on the December miniseries (see 'Battlestar Boffo') made a return likely, and Sci Fi Channel is reportedly backing the show with a production budget that will make it one of cable's most expensive series.
