The second OVA of the comic storyline Death of Superman, Reign of the Supermen, was announced last fall (see “'Reign of the Supermen' the Next DC Universe Movie”), and then Warner Bros and DC partnered with Fathom Events to bring the digital premiere to theaters for a special double feature event this weekend (Jan 12 – 13) with The Death of Superman OVA. As part of the promotion, Warner Bros. revealed it will release the two movies as a single, full-length film with never-before-seen extended footage and a collectible item as part of a box set later this year.
The Reign of the Supermen Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack releases on January 29.
