Garth Ennis, who’s written a lot of Punisher comics over the years, returns to the character in November with Punisher Soviet, the first of two new series he’s writing for Marvel. Jacen Burrows will provide the interior art and a variant cover for the first issue, with the A cover by Paolo Rivera. Punisher Soviet, a six-issue series, finds dead Russian mobsters he didn’t kill at the Punisher’s feet, with conflict likely to follow.
Punisher Soviet is the first of two Punisher series in the pipe from Ennis, according to an interview with The Lakes International Comic Art Festival. The second is Get Fury, with art by Goran Parlov, planned for 2020.
