The beer-brewing board game Heaven & Ale gets its first expansion set when Eggertspiele releases Heaven & Ale:  Kegs & More in November.

Nominated for the prestigious Kennerspiel des Jahres award in 2018 (see “2018 ‘Spiel des Jahres’ Nominations”), Heaven & Ale puts players in the role of monks competing to brew the best beer possible, balancing the needs of their monastery with the needs of their brewing business.  Kegs & More adds a new layer of complications to their efforts, calling on the monks to oversee logistical concerns like storage, transportation, and delivery of their artisanal brews.

Heaven & Ale:  Kegs & More comes with 34 delivery boards, 28 tiles, 32 keg tokens, 20 bale tokens, 4 cards, 2 barrels, and 1 wooden die.  It supports games with 2 to 4 players, and makes the playing time 60 to 90 minutes.  MSRP is $34.99.  The expansion was designed by Heaven & Ale’s creators Michael Kiesling (Azul, Tikal) and Andreas Schmidt.

This summer, Eggertspiele lanched a new line of “roll & build” style games created by Matt Leacock (see “A New ‘Era’ for ‘Pandemic’ Creator”).
