Sweden's Free League Publishing recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for Vaesen: Nordic Horror Roleplaying game, which fully funded in 13 minutes. This campaign also features a Retailer Pledge Level with estimated delivery of the pledge rewards scheduled for May 2020.

Vaesen is a Gothic horror roleplaying game heavily influenced by Scandinavian folklore and mythology. It features a fictional dark Nordic setting where a new civilization is dawning, and there are only a few industrialized cities. In the countryside, the old ways of life are still maintained, and terrifying myths lurk about the landscape. Players travel to remote villages to find out the truth about the supernatural, and try to reveal the secrets of the Mythic North.

The Retailer Pledge Level, for approximately $103.70, offers stores the opportunity to receive five copies of the Vaesen: Nordic Horror Roleplaying core book, five copies of each of the unlocked physical stretch goals, and allows additional core book copies and other items to be purchased as add-ons. Also, shipping is free to North America.

This book is written by Nils Hintze based on the work of Johan Egerkans. As of November 6, Vaesen: Nordic Horror Roleplaying has passed $100,000 in funding of a $10,355 goal.

Recently, Free League Publishing announced that it will make a game adaptation of Crusader Kings (see "Free League Reveals 'Crusader Kings' Details").
