Marvel Comics dominated the top-selling comics in November, while DC Comics did the same on the graphic novel chart, a historical pattern that hasn’t been much in evidence lately. The combination pushed combined comic and graphic novel sales to comic stores up 4.3% over sales in November 2018, a solid month and a continuation of a positive trend, according to numbers released by Diamond Comic Distributors.
In a rare configuration, graphic novel sales were up more (7.43%) than comic sales (3.12%).
Year-to-date sales are now up 2.02% through November.
Marvel took the top share spot, as usual, up less than 7 share points in units, but over 10 share points in dollars. BOOM! Studios had an impressive month, taking the #4 share spot normally held by IDW Publishing or Dark Horse Comics.
