Dark Horse Comics imprint Berger Books will release Post York, an expanded graphic novel version of the 2013 Eisner-nominated Uncivilized Books one-shot (see "2013 Eisner Nominations"), in September. Writer and artist James Romberger created the graphic novel using experimental techniques, improvising directly onto art boards without script or preliminary layouts. Bonus material will include an environmental fact sheet.
The story takes place in a future flooded New York City, where a loner navigating the city with his cat encounters a mysterious woman, a trapped blue whale, other outsiders, and the depraved and ruthless elite.
Street date for the 112-page $17.99 trade paperback is September 2 for comic stores and September 15 for the book channel.
