In Friday the 13th: Horror at Camp Crystal Lake, players take on the roles of camp counselors at Camp Crystal Lake. Each counselor represents a cliché horror trope, including the nerd, the partier, the nice guy, the final girl, the diva, and the joke. Played over the course of five nights of terror, players will draw the tools for survival randomly from a camp bag, collecting items like iron pans, gasoline, cleavers, and flashlights to make combinations for points. The odds of returning safely to camp get slimmer every turn so players will have to work together or against one another to survive. The game will come with 6 player boards, a cabin board, 10 critical supply cards, 6 backpack cards, 64 fear cards, 88 blood splatter tokens, 6 escape tokes, 6 player tokens, a night tracker, 67 supply tokens, a camp bag, and rule book.
Friday the 13th: Horror at Camp Crystal Lake is for 3 to 6 players, ages 17 and up, and plays in 60 minutes. The game will retail for $29.99 when it releases later this year. The Op is no stranger to horror movie licenses as it released three licensed IT games in 2019 (see “USAopoly Takes On ‘IT’”).
