Z2 Comics and the record label Deutsche Grammophon are teaming up on a graphic novel anthology about the life of composer Ludwig van Beethoven, which will be released as both a standard edition and a deluxe edition with a double vinyl LP and other extras.
Ludwig van Beethoven – The Final Symphony: A Graphic Anthology will be a collection of stories about the composer’s life and work, written by Brandon Montclare (Rocket Girl, Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur) and illustrated by 12 artists, who will be named later. David Mack painted the cover.
Z2 Comics will publish the graphic novel on its own as a 144-page paperback with an MSRP of $24.99. They will also publish a special deluxe limited-edition slipcased hardcover that will be accompanied by a double vinyl album and three limited-edition prints based on the artwork in the graphic novel. Both editions will be released in November 2020, just ahead of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth.
