Kyoto puts players in the position of delegates of different countries negotiating at a climate conference. Their goal is to hit reduction in pollution targets and provide enough funding for the reductions while maintaining their country's wealth. They are also beholden to secret agendas, and the winner of the game will be the delegate who protects their country's wealth while not doing too much damage to the Earth. If the climate damage to the Earth is too severe, the conference fails and the greediest player loses.
The game box comes with a board, 100 cards, 63 bank bills, 6 flag tokens, 6 flag holders, 6 cloud tokens, 6 thermometer levels, 5 animal tokens, a lectern, and a rulebook. This game is for three to six players, ages 10 and up; plays in 30 to 45 minutes and will retail for $29.99.
Pegasus Spiele will also release Dice Flick into U.S. trade in March (see "Pegasus Spiele Will Release 'Dice Flick' into U.S. Trade").
