The shortage of product for this set will affect U.S. and Canadian distribution of Magic: The Gathering. Additionally, some distributors will receive the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Prerelease Early Sales Promotion Set Boosters late, but the other prerelease products are projected to arrive on time. This shortage of product comes as players are in the beginning phases of returning to in-store play (see "Wizards of the Coast Begins the Transition Back to In-Person 'Magic: The Gathering' Play") with retailers likely purchasing more product to sustain the viability of holding draft and sealed events.
During the Set's Release Window

Wizards of the Coast revealed that they are anticipating some shortfalls in the availability of Dungeons & Dragons: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Set Boosters and Draft Boosters during the set's release window. This Standard booster set is scheduled for full release on July 23 (see "'Magic: The Gathering' Release Calendar for 2020/2021").
