Dark Horse will launch a 12-issue all-age anthology series, Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories, in August, with plans to include stories from every era of the Star Wars saga by a range of creators including Cecil Castellucci (Shade: The Changing Girl) and Michael Moreci (The Plot, Wasted Space).

The first issue will be available on August 10 and will feature a story by writer Amanda Deibert (Wonder Woman ’77, Teen Titans Go!) and artist Lucas Marangon (R.I.P.D., Star Wars Tales) that’s set during the Clone Wars: General Grevious kidnaps a Republic delegation led by Senator Padme Amidala, and when Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi attempt to rescue them, they find themselves in a perilous situation. The issue will have a main cover by Marangon and a variant cover by Miguel Valderrama.

Star Wars had the license for all Star Wars comics from 1991 through 2014, when Marvel took it over. IDW published all-ages Star Wars comics from 2017 till the end of 2021, when Dark Horse got the all-ages license back (see “Dark Horse to Publish All-Ages Star Wars Comics and Graphic Novels”).
