The character Moon Knight first appeared in the pages of Werewolf by Night, and now the tables are turning as Jack Russell, a.k.a. the Werewolf by Night, and Moon Knight are reunited in Moon Knight Annual #1. In the story, by writer Jed McKay and artist Federico Sabbatnini, Russell is seeking some of Moon Knight’s blood in order to fulfill a prophecy and rescue his people. The annual will be released on October 26 with a cover by Rod Reis.

“It's been great seeing people respond to our Moon Knight series, and it's always a bit of a thrill to give folks even more—and Moon Knight Annual #1 was the place to revisit some old history,” said MacKay in a statement accompanying the announcement. “Moon Knight has changed a lot since he first did battle with the Werewolf by Night, but so has Jack Russell, and having the opportunity to see how these two interact now, all these years later, has been a lot of fun.”
