In Boogeyman: The Board Game, players take on the roles of children battling against their worst nightmare, The Boogeyman. The players try to survive by locating key items that are found around the house they are in while avoiding he "hunger" and the babysitter. Once the items are found, it will trigger a Finale with the monster, of which, the players need to survive to win. This game has four different modes of play: solo mode, cooperative mode, semi-cooperative mode, and competitive mode.

The game box comes with a rulebook, a game board, a comic book of endings, a die, a poster,  8 miniatures, 8 characters stands, 8 characters, 270 cards, and over 100 different tokens. This game is for one to seven players, ages 13 and up, and plays in 60 minutes.
