Sina Grace, writer of Iceman and Ghosted in L.A., has two new projects in the works: A young-adult Superman graphic novel for DC Comics and a new Rockstar & Softboy one-shot for Image Comics.
Grace will write and draw Superman: The Harvests of Youth, which is set during Clark Kent’s high school years and features both new characters and familiar ones such as Lana Lang. The story looks at briefness of life, the isolation of young people, and the temptations of internet communities built on anger and resentment. Casanova colorist Cris Peter will join Grace on the book, which is due out on October 3, 2023. Grace’s Image Comics project, Rockstar and Softboy: Go to Space, has a very different vibe: It follows the adventures of two queer men, Rockstar and Softboy, who are best friends, share an apartment in Hollywood, and have wild adventures. The first comic, released in February 2022, came in sixth on Diamond’s graphic novel chart for the month (see “Diamond Top 400 Graphic Novels—February 2022”). Rockstar and Softboy: Go to Space is written and drawn by Grace and will be released in January 2023.
