The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles face off against the crew from Capcom’s Street Fighter video games in a five-issue limited series coming from IDW Publishing in May 2023.  Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Street Fighter, written by Paul Allor with art by Ariel Medel and colors by Sarah Myer, brings the two sides together in Atlantic City for a tournament.  The two groups quickly develop a full-blown rivalry that plays out as they try to get to the bottom of a string of mysterious disappearances.  The first issue will have covers by Medel and Kevin Eastman and retailer incentive variants by Vicenzo Federici.

“I grew up with all these characters, though in very different ways—watching TMNT cartoons on Saturday mornings, and then a few years later, desperately smashing buttons while being absolutely destroyed at Street Fighter II,” Allor said in a statement accompanying the announcement.  “Readers are going to have so much fun watching these characters come together as they face an enormous threat to both teams, from Mikey and Chun-Li’s unlikely bond to Raph and Guile’s rivalry and mutual—but very grudging—respect.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin has been a top seller for IDW (see “‘TMNT: The Last Ronin’ Goes Back to Press for Additional 100K Copies”).
