In this expansion, players take on the roles of corporations like in the original game (see "'Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition'"), and adds Crisis cards. Each round, players will draw a new Crisis card. The Crisis cards require players to fulfill an objective to remove the card from play. If Crisis cards are not handled, they will lower one or more of the terraforming metrics that keep Mars habitable. At some point, a Crisis card will be drawn that will let the players win the game once they have finished re-terraforming Mars.
This is not a standalone expansion, and with the base game, it supports one to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 60 minutes. It will retail for $24.95.
