Alex De Campi (Bad Girls) and Erica Henderson (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) are collaborating on Parasocial, a new original graphic novel coming from Image Comics in October, the company announced. The psychological thriller centers on an encounter between a fading genre-TV actor and an obsessive fan at a Texas convention during the middle of the pandemic. The pair ends up at the fan’s house, where we find out who they really are.
"Parasocial is a twisted exploitation thriller that will leave you never feeling safe at a convention again," de Campi said of the story. "It’s a deep dive into all the things we’ve agreed not to talk about in modern fandom and celebrity."
De Campi and Henderson previously collaborated on Dracula, Motherf**ker.
