DC’s plans for Pride Month, June 2023, include a collection of three out-of-print LGBTQ+ comics and its annual Pride anthology, along with a new encyclopedia of DC’s LGBTQ+ characters and an array of variant covers.

DC Pride: Through the Years #1 is an oversize collection of three older DC comics that featured LGBTQ+ characters: The Flash #53 by William Messner-Loebs and Greg LaRocque, in which the Pied Piper comes out to the Flash; Detective Comics #854, by Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams, which launched Batwoman on her solo series; and Supergirl #19, by Steve Orlando, Vita Ayala, and Jamal Campbell, in which nonbinary teen Lee Serrano becomes friends with Supergirl. In addition, the collection includes a new story about by Tim Sheridan and Cian Tormey about Green Lantern Alan Scott, which will lay the groundwork for that character’s next storyline. DC Pride: Through the Years #1 will be released on June 13, 2023 with a cover by Derek Charm.

DC Pride 2023 #1, the annual Pride anthology, which once again will be a 104-page prestige format collection. This year’s edition will have an introduction by Phil Jimenez, an original Multiversity story by Grant Morrison and Hayden Sherman, a five-page preview of an upcoming Dreamer story by Nicole Maines and Rye Hickman, and pinups by an array of artists including Maria Llovet, Ro Stein and Ted Brandt, Travis Moore, Noah Dao, Claire Roe, and Babs Tarr.

DC Pride 2023 #1 will be released on May 30 with a main cover by Mateus Manhanini and open-to-order variant covers by Gabriel Picolo (wraparound), Jen Bartel (spot foil), and Oscar Vega (cardstock).

The DC Book of Pride, by Jadzia Axelrod, is an illustrated hardcover character guide that includes profiles of over 50 LGBTQ+ DC characters, including Harley Quinn, Jon Kent, Tim Drake, and Nubia. The 128-page book will be published by DK Publishing on May 16 with a cover by Paulina Ganucheau and an MSRP of $19.99.

As in previous years, DC will also offer Pride-themed variant covers on a number of series; this year’s lineup includes
