GAMA reported the results of its Retail Division elections and announced a special election in the Wholesale Division. In the Retailer division, Dawn Marinaro of Paddy’s Game Shoppe in St. Cloud, Minnesota, was elected as Secretary of the Retail Division. Incumbent Rhonda Becker of The Gamers Den of Cambridge, Minnesota, will continue in her seat on the GAMA Board of Directors (along with John Coviello of Little Shop of Magic in Las Vegas, Nevada). Jay Mason-Grant of Black Knight Games of Hamilton, Ontario, will take over as Chair of the Retail Division. Dee Connell of Main Street Fun and Games in Invermere, British Columbia, will continue to serve as Vice.
Newly elected GAMA board members from other divisions were announced last month (see "New GAMA Board Members Announced").
In the Wholesale Division, GAMA board member Sito Sanchez of Peachstate Hobby Distribution resigned his position at the March board meeting, and a special election to fill his seat until March 31, 2024 has been called. Candidates had until April 4 to submit their names as candidates for the position.
