Dux Somnium and Golden Goose teamed up to bring Botany, a new Victorian Era flower hunting board game, to retail.

In this game, players take on the role of the Queen's plant hunting specialists who are traveling the world in search of exotic flowers.  Players accumulate points by finding specimens and safely transporting them back to their estates in England for study. The goal of the game is to claim the Queen's Prize in botany by getting the most points worth of flowers.  This game is for one to five players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 to 90 minutes.

The Kickstarter has thus far raised $631,462 from 9,032 backers with 9 days to go (about $70 per backer).  The campaign has a retail pledge level, and this game will be headed through distribution at some point with Golden Goose's help.

"Hiring Golden Goose was such an effortless decision," said Dusty Droz, the founder of Dux Somnium.  "Knowing where to even start with distribution was a complete juggernaut of a learning process.  Once we met Chris and Andre it went from this giant, complex problem to the most simple."

Recently, Mantic Entertainment Ltd. also teamed up with Andre Kieran's Golden Goose Consultancy, Inc. (see "Andre Kieren's Golden Goose").
