Chaosium revealed two Cults of RuneQuest RPG sourcebooks, Lightbringers and The Earth Goddesses, for release into retail in August 2023.

The Lightbringers supplement  adds 19 cults to the RPG.  Players can use these cults to develop their RuneQuest character; each cult offers unique spells, skills, and traits.  This book also includes the lore and history of the Lightbringer gods. It will retail for $39.99.

The Earth Goddesses book details 16 cults for players to use utilize in character creation.  This book also contains rules to advance characters to a God-Talker, Rune Priestess, or a mighty Rune Lord.  It also contains lore and history for the Earth gods pantheon, and it will retail for $37.99.

Chaosium also unveiled Basic Roleplaying: The Universal Game Engine, a new Open RPG Creative License game engine (see "'Basic Roleplaying: The Universal Game Engine'").
