Ares Games announced Kings of the Middle-earth, the third expansion for War of the Ring 2E board game, which will be previewed at Gen Con 2023.  

The new expansion will be centered around the rulers of the Free Peoples. The story will focus on their weaknesses and offer more details on the role they played in the story as well as offer new rules that flesh out Theoden, Denethor, Dáin, Brand, and Thranduil. This expansion will feature new figures as well.  

Ares Games recently released two new game accessories for War of the Ring 2E, a Deluxe Game Mat and a Witch-King Card Box (see "Accessories for 'War of the Ring 2E'").
