WizKids announced Star Trek: Into the Unknown, a new space miniatures game, which will hit stores in April 2024.
This new Star Trek space miniatures game features detailed ships from the franchise. The models are all designed to scale, so large ships like the U.S.S. Enterprise will tower over the smaller ships. The ships for this game all come pre-painted and ready to deploy and add officers and crew to.
The game allows players to negotiate and fight alongside iconic characters through a narrative campaign. Although space combat is a main driver of the game, research and diplomatic actions and not just combat will cause missions to evolve. This came can also be played as a single match encounter.
The Federation vs. Dominion Core Set comes with a Galaxy-Class starship, a Constellation-Class starship, a Defiant-Class starship, a Jem’Hadar Battle Cruiser, 2 Jem’Hadar Fighters, a learning guide, a rulebook, 3 acrylic range rulers, 15 acrylic system markers, 2 turning tools, 12 custom dice, 24 Mission cards, 30 Officer cards, 30 Damage Effect cards, assorted tokens, and 30 Equipment, Directive, and other Unit cards. This game is for two players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 120 minutes. It will retail for $149.99.
WizKids also revealed Star Trek: Discovery - Black Alert, a new team-based strategy game (see "'Star Trek: Discovery - Black Alert' Incoming").
