Random House Graphic has announced a graphic novel publishing program in conjunction with Dr. Seuss Enterprises. Beginning at the end of April 2024, three classic Dr. Seuss characters will appear in new stories in chapter book graphic novel series.
Cat Out of Water by Art Baltazar (Itty Bitty Hellboy, Tiny Titans) is the first book, featuring the Cat in the Hat. It will release on April 30, 2024, aimed at ages 5-8 and running 80 pages.
The other two books are inspired by How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and Green Eggs and Ham. The Grinch story, by Kaeti Vandorn (Monster Friends), is scheduled for Fall 2024, while the book featuring Sam-I-Am, by James Kochalka (Johnny Boo), comes out in Spring 2025.
