Marvel Comics will collect Mark Gruenwald's ten-year run as writer of Captain America into a series of omnibus volumes beginning in June 2024. Captain America by Mark Gruenwald Omnibus Vol. 1 will include Captain America (1968) #307-350 and Annual #8, Marvel Fanfare (1982) #29, Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #278, Iron Man (1968) #228, material from Marvel Fanfare (1982) #26 and #31-32, and Scourge subplot pages.
The 1,336-page hardcover omnibus will include work by artists Paul Neary, Tom Morgan, and Kieron Dwyer and will have two covers, a main cover and a direct market only variant, both by artist Mike Zeck. The book will be released on June 4, 2024, with an MSRP of $150.
Gruenwald, a writer and editor for Marvel, passed away in 1996 and was inducted into the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame in 2022 (see "2022 Eisner Hall of Fame Inductees, Nominees Announced").
